Updates to the “AGGREGATE” Table on the
Front Page Dashboard:
1 New Case Overall
7 Recovered
Note: The “aggregate” information is based solely on active/recovered/deaths numbers provided by DSHS to Frio County. There are no details because some of the cases have yet to be investigated. DSHS started providing the aggregate count as a quicker way for Frio County track trends.
Updates to the “Investigated” Table on the
Front Page Dashboard:
Zip Code: 78061
# of “Investigated” Positive Cases: 4
Exposure Source: Workplace, Community Acquired, Household Spread, Unknown
# of Older Cases Recovered: 5
Zip Code: 78057
# of “Investigated” Positive Cases: 1
Exposure Source: Unknown
Zip Code: 78017
# of Older Cases Recovered: 1
REPORTING NOTES:
- Texas Department of State Health Services did not provide information on whether the new positive cases were isolating at home or hospitalization. Without this information, we will not have a full picture of Frio County hospitalization rates, as a Frio resident can be hospitalized at any hospital in the area. Rate of hospitalization is a key warning indicator which we may not have moving forward.
- Today was a catchup day for the DSHS “investigations,” as they reported:
1 New positive cases, including cases pending investigation or “aggregate”
5 positive cases, investigated
How does that happen? Today, DSHS was able to follow up and report on more of the backlog of cases to Frio County than ended up in their total “to-be-investigated queue.” It might be easier to think of the “aggregate” cases as the new cases, and the numbers in these daily reports as the ones DSHS has actually investigated…
